Adult Scavenger Quest Rules (& Helpful Hints)
Back by popular demand, the Adult Scavenger Quest is indeed an adult game. Teams compete against each other and the clock as they hustle to be the first to bring back the required items and win the prize. Now just so everyone is on the same page, here are the game's Official Rules and Helpful Hints.
Any paid attendee or Convention Staff member may play as long as they are 18 years of age or older. If under age, a consent form must to be signed-off by the participant's parent or legal guardian at the time of sign-up.
Players need to divide up into teams of four. Individuals or couples may sign up to join a team that has space permitting. Teams with only three people on them will be considered at the start of game time if no one else can be found to join them.
Sign up ends at the time designated on the sheet.
No luggage, backpacks, tote bags, or unusually large handbags will be allowed in the Quest room.
Once the game begins, do not talk to or distract the Quest Scorekeeper in any way. Violation of this will disqualify your team.
There is no Number six.
Players may, and are encouraged to, leave the Quest Room to seek items elsewhere in the hotel, but you must wait until the Quest Caller (the person describing the item) says "GO" before leaving as you may miss part of the description and bring back the wrong item.
DO NOT RUSH THE QUEST TABLE! This means when you have your item you must present yourself in front of the Quest Caller IN SINGLE FILE. Failure to do so will most likely result in your items not being scored properly.
We suggest that teams designate one member to stay in the Quest Room at all times. That way there will always be one member of your team present to hear each item being called.
Players may beg or borrow items from other teams or non-participants, but teams cannot use the same item for points.
The Quest Panel is not responsible for redistributing items. Please keep track of all items you've borrowed and return them yourself. They are NOT to be left at the Quest Table.
Quest items may be brought in for points at any time during the game until the Bonus Round begins.
Scoring is on a point system. The first team to return an item receives 50 points, the second team receives 45 points, and so on.
The last round will be a Bonus Round. The winner of this round will be awarded 169 points based on audience (fellow players and any others in the room) response as judged by the Quest Panel.
Finally, please use common sense safety rules about running in the halls, hogging elevators, and leaving valuables unattended. Also, and this is the import one , DO NOT DAMAGE HOTEL PROPERTY! Violation of these common sense rules will disqualify your team immediately.
